Kerry Washington knows how to keep things private in her screen role as Olivia Pope and her personal life. The 36 year-old actress got married to San Francisco 49ers cornerback, Nnamdi Asomugha.
The couple started dating last summer and tied the knot in a secret ceremony on Monday, June 24 in Hailey, Idaho. It was confirmed that the newly weds filed for a marriage license in Blaine County, Idaho.
"It has been recorded in the Blaine County clerk's office that Nnamdi Asomugha and Kerry Washington have been married on the 24th of June in the town of Hailey, Idaho."
This is the first marriage for the Scandal actress who was almost close to walking down the aisle with ex-fiance, David Moscow. The two split in 2007. Washington told The New York Post that she learned more about herself since leaving that relationship.
The Django Unchained actress is currently on vacation, while on break from the ABC series. The actress did give a friendly reminder to her UK fans to watch season 2 of the show.
She tweeted on Tuesday: "Ok. Logging off! See u in a few weeks! SO excited 4 all u UK #Gladiators about 2 experience Season 2! Spread the word!"
