Basketball Player Daniel Gibson Arrested For Assault and Battery

Basketball player Daniel Gibson turned himself in on Monday, July 29 on an assault and battery charge.

He got into an altercation at a club in New Orleans on July 8, a little after 5 am. During the fight with the individual, he punched the man in the face, breaking his jaw.

Gibson, 27, gave a statement to TMZ: "Earlier this month during the Essence Music Festival, I was involved in an incident with other individuals while I was out with my wife. It's unfortunate that some see opportunity in taking advantage of people who work hard for what they have achieved."

According to TMZ, the former Cleveland Cavaliers player was released this morning at 11:09am. No other details have been released about the incident. Gibson hopes that his name will be cleared once all the details are known.

"Once all the facts of the incident come out, I expect to be fully vindicated."

Gibson is married to R&B singer Keyshia Cole, 31. They are parents to son Daniel, 3.

Emma Roberts and Evan Peters Back to Normal

Things seem to be looking up for couple Emma Roberts, and Evan Peters.

Roberts was arrested on July 7 for domestic violence after a dispute with Peters. However, while filming the third season of the FX series American Horror Story, the couple seemed to be really happy.

Reps for Roberts and Peters gave a statement for the incident that happened earlier this month. "It was unfortunate incident and misunderstanding. Ms. Roberts was released after questioning and the couple are working together to move past it."

Roberts, 22, and Peters, 26, have been dating since 2012.

DJ Khaled Serious About Marriage Proposal to Nicki Minaj

Say what?

DJ Khaled proposed to Nicki Minaj on MTV UK on Thursday, July 26. The 37 year-old radio host took the time during the interview to propose to the "Starships" rapper.

In the video Khaled say, "Nicki Minaj, I'm at MTV, I'm going to be honest with you; I love you. I like you, I want you, I want you to be mine. Only reason I'm not telling you this face to face is because I understand that you're busy."

The rapper said that they're both "suffering from success" which is also the name of his album which will be in stores at the end of September.

He pulled a 10-carat diamond ring that is reportedly worth $500,000 right after saying, "Nicki Minaj, will you marry me?"

Some may think that this is just a publicity stunt to promote his upcoming album, but the "Take it To The Head" rapper insures that he is really serious about this.

"If you gotta take your time and think about it, I understand, but I know I have to be here today to let you know how serious I am and how serious this is to me."

According to Mstarz, the "Beez in the Trap" rapper has allegedly filed a restraining order against DJ Khaled.

 The 30 year-old female rapper has yet to respond to the proposal.

Miley Really Means Molly

Miley Cyrus isn't the little girl we all knew on Disney as Hannah Montana anymore. She's all grown up now.

Cyrus, 20, recently admitted in an interview with the Daily Mail, that in her song "We Can't Stop" there's a lyric that says "dancing with miley." Well "miley" actually means the drug MDMA, better known as "molly."

"It depends who's doing what. If you're aged ten [the lyric is] Miley, if you what I'm talking about then you know. I just wanted it to be played on the radio and they've already had to edit it so much."

The star also talked about being upset that MTV UK edited her video for the song. When asked what she would say if people thought that the video was too provocative, she responded with a reference to the acquittal of George Zimmerman.

"Then I'll give you an edit. I just think the world is so lame because you can shoot people in a movie and you can let people like Zimmerman off on trial but you can't have someone going like this (she stimulates oral sex gesture), that is so dumb to me."

She continues, "The world is such a f**ked up place the last thing people need to worry about is my cute little video for We Can't Stop, you know what I mean?"

The singer definitely has an opinion of her own.

Jared Padalecki and Wife Genevieve Expecting Second Child

Jared Padalecki may fight demons on television, but he's a second time dad in real life.

The Supernatural star and wife Genevieve Cortese Padalecki are expecting their second child. Suspicions began at a Comic-Con event in San Diego this past Friday when Padalecki, 31, rubbed his wife's belly.

The 32 year-old former Gilmore Girl star and Padalecki are already parents to their 16 month-old son, Thomas Colton.

The couple has been married since February 2010.

Kate Middleton Has Baby Boy!

There's been a wonderful edition to the royal family!

Kate Middleton had a baby boy on Monday, July 22. This is the first child for the new mom and Prince William.

The Buckingham Palace confirmed the news in a statement: "Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge was safety delivered of a son at 4:24pm. The baby weighs 8lbs 6oz."

The statement continued saying that the Duchess and her baby were doing well and that they would remain in the hospital overnight.

According to ABC News, the announcement came after Middleton had been in the hospital for more than 14 hours, though the baby was born several hours before the birth was announced.

The baby boy is third in line for the British throne after his grandfather, Prince Charles, and father, Prince William. Queen Elizabeth II is still currently on the throne and has been for 61 years.

A name for the newborn has yet to be announced.

Janet Jackson's Husband Fires Employee Six Weeks After She Is Raped

Janet Jackson's husband, Wissam Al Mana, is under fire after a former worker claims she was fired six weeks after she reported a rape.

Marte Deborah Dalelv, a Norwegian woman, was an interior designer for Al Mana Interiors. She was on a business trip in Dubai in March when she reported that she had been raped by a co-worker.

According to BBC, when she reported her rape to the Dubai police, they arrested her and her rapist for engaging in extramarital sex, which goes against Sharia law. The court sentenced her to 16 months in prison.

The Norwegian Embassy was reportedly able to get her out of prison and into an aid compound in Dubai. She was pardoned by the Dubai ruler, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al-Maktoum on Monday, July 22.

However, before she was released, the victim says she received a letter of termination signed by Al Mana himself for "misconduct and breach of your employment duties, effective immediately."

The company released a statement saying that they had been "sympathetic" through her tough time.

"We are sympathetic to Marte Dalelv during this very difficult situation. Al Mana interiors has repeatedly offered Marte support and company representatives were by her side throughout the initial investigation and police interviews, and spent days at both the police station and the prosecutor's office to help win her release."

The statement continues on to say, "Company representatives have been supportive and in communication with Marte throughout her ordeal. Only when Ms. Dalelv declined to have positive and constructive discussions about her employment status, and ceased communication with her employer, was the company forced to end our relationship with her."

 "The decision had nothing to do with the rape allegation, and unfortunately neither Ms. Dalelv nor her attorneys have chosen to contact the company to discuss her employment status."

Kanye West Has Altercation With Paparazzi

The paparazzi didn't take Yeezus' warning of "I don't want to hear paparazzi talk to me" seriously. 

The Los Angeles Airport Police are investigating the alleged altercation that Kanye West had with a paparazzi on Friday, July 19 at LAX airport.

While West was leaving the airport, videographer Daniel Ramos began to follow him while asking him questions. The rapper, 36, continued to ignored Ramos before getting angry and confronting the guy.

The altercation was recorded and posted on TMZ. In the video, West, 36, tells Ramos, "What you're trying to do is get me in trouble, so I can steal off you and have to pay you like $250,000."

The video becomes a blur when the Black Skinhead rapper tried grabbing the camera away from Ramos. West then jumped into a waiting car and drove away.

 Ramos was taken to the hospital and the extent of his injuries are unknown. He filed a police report and wants to press charges.

A source close to West told Us Weekly, "he didn't hurt the pap. They were just heckling him as usual. Kanye went to grab the camera and the guy fell being so dramatic."

This isn't the first time Ramos has gotten into a scuffle a celebrity. In 2007, Britney Spears bashed his SUV with her umbrella after he pursued and photographed her .

According to TMZ, the case is being referred to the LA County district attorney as a felony attempted robbery and not a battery case.

Emma Roberts Arrested for Domestic Violence

Emma Roberts was recently arrested for domestic violence after a violent fight with her boyfriend Evan Peters. The fight resulted in Peters having a bloody nose.

The 22 year-old actress was taken into custody on Sunday, July 7 in Montreal, Canada. The Montreal law enforcement received a phone call that a fight was taking place in the couple's hotel room.

The We're The Millers actress was immediately arrested once the police saw physical harm was conflicted on Peters, 26, who had a bloody nose and a bite mark.

The American Horror Story actor didn't want to press charges against his girlfriend, so Roberts was released hours later.

According to TMZ, sources say that they are still together. The couple was last seen in public at the premiere of The Lone Ranger.

They will be working together on the next season of  American Horror Story.

Tina Turner Ties the Knot to Erwin Bach

Another happy union has taken place.

Tina Turner has married long time partner Erwin Bach after 27 years of being together. The "Golden Eye" singer walked down the aisle in Zurich, Switzerland in a discreet ceremony last week.

According to AFP, Turner, 73 and Bach, 57 will celebrate their marriage in a Buddhist celebration this Sunday. It will take place in their Kusnacht mansion in Switzerland. She will have over a 100 guests, including Oprah Winfrey and Sade.

The "Game of Love" singer started dating the music producer in the 1980s. She moved to Switzerland in 1995 and became a citizen earlier this year.

This is the second marriage for the legendary singer who was married to Ike Turner for 16 years. The 1993 movie What's Love Got To Do With It was based off of their troubled marriage.

Cory Monteith Cause of Death Revealed

Cory Monteith's cause of death was due to a lethal combination of alcohol and heroin.

According to the British Columbia Coroners Service, an autopsy and toxicological analysis confirm that the Glee star died from a "mixed drug toxicity, involving heroin and alcohol."

The results from the autopsy were revealed on Tuesday, July 16, the day after the autopsy was scheduled.

The BC Coroners Service said in a report that "at this point there is no evidence to suggest Mr. Monteith's death was anything other than a most-tragic accident."

However, the investigation is still being continued with no other details available at the time.

The report continues to say, "Mr. Monteith's family has been made aware of the circumstances surrounding the death. On behalf of family members, the BC Coroners Service asks that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time."

The last role that the 31 year-old actor played was one that he had played in real life. He played drug addict Simon Weeks in the movie McCanick.

Olympic Boxer Terrell Gausha Vows to Never Sport American Flag After Zimmerman Verdict

U.S. Olympic Boxer Terrell Gausha is another athlete that has expressed his disdain for the George Zimmerman acquittal. He has vowed to never sport the red, white and blue again.

Gausha told TMZ, "How can I wear my stars and stripes proudly in a country where they make a big deal out of Mike Vick fighting dogs; but not a young innocent black male's life."

The 25 year-old boxer started to wear the American flag on his boxing trunks after he boxed in the 2012 London Summer Games.

The boxer added, "When I represent my country in the Olympics I was proud to wear my flag. I even wore it on my head on the way to the ring. What happened this weekend was a slap in the face."

Gausha is now ineligible to take part in the next Olympics in 2016 now that he has turned pro, but he doesn't seemed too interested seeing as he "refuses to rep a nation that has so much racism and hatred."

Gausha is the reigning USA National Middleweight Boxing Champion.

Chris Brown Probation Revoked, But Remains Free

Chris Brown's probation has just been revoked by a Los Angeles judge on Monday, July 15. The singer has been on probation since he assaulted ex-girlfriend Rihanna back in 2009. 

His probation was revoked due to an alleged hit and run charge in May. Allegedly, he rear-ended a car stopped at a red light in the San Fernando Valley and refused to give the other driver his license or insurance information.

Olga Gure-Kovalenko, the other driver, is a recent emigre to the country and didn't know the procedures. She was advised by her husband to ask for Brown's driver license and insurance. A confrontation took place shortly after she repeatedly demanded for his information.

Gure-Kovalenko does not want to follow through with criminal charges nor does she want money since there were no injuries. 

Even though his probation has been revoked, the 24 year-old singer is a free man for the time being. The Deputy District Attorney Mary Murray didn't ask for Brown to be put in jail, so he remains free on his own recognizance. 

A violation probation hearing has been set for August 16. If the judge determines that the "Fine China" singer violated his probation, he could be sentenced to four years in prison.

Glee Star Cory Monteith Dies at 31 in Vancouver

Another star is gone.

Glee star Cory Monteith died on Saturday, July 13 in a hotel in Vancouver, Canada. The actor died two months after celebrating his 31st birthday on May 11.

Monteith checked into the Fairmont Pacific Rim Hotel the week before on July 6. He was due to check out on Saturday. When he didn't, the staff went to his room and found his body. The paramedics pronounceed him dead at the scene.

The Vancouver Police Department reported that Monteith was alone at the time of his death and that foul play was not suspected. Police Chief Doug Lepard said that "an autopsy is scheduled for Monday."

Melissa Kates, Monteith's publicist, confirmed his death in a statement. "We are so saddened to confirm that the reports on the death of Cory Monteith are accurate. We are in shock and mourning this tragic loss."

The British Columbian native voluntarily admitted himself into a rehab facility in March for substance addiction. In 2011, the star opened up about his struggles with drugs and alcohol with Parade. After he dropped out of high school when he was 16, he had a "serious problem."

The star completed the program in April. He was supported by his girlfriend, Lea Michelle, 26, who he had been dating for over a year.

Monteith was famous for his role on Glee as Finn Hudson, but also played other roles in Monte Carlo and Final Destination 3.

Chuck Foley, Co-inventor of Twister Game Dies

Charles "Chuck" Frederick Foley, the co-inventor of Twister, has passed away at 82. He died in a care facility on Monday, July 1 in St. Louis Park, Minnesota. 

His son Mark said that he died from complications of his Alzheimer's disease. 

Foley and his colleague, Neil Rabens, created the game together. The patent office told them that they needed mechanical pieces, but Foley suggested people. He even demonstrated the game in Washington to patent officials. 

Twister was manufactured by Milton Bradley in 1966. Foley and Rabens were awarded the United States Patent 3.454.279 in 1969, "wherein the players constitute the game pieces."

In 1998, Foley told the Dallas Morning News that "the biggest problem people had in entertaining was worrying about people enjoying themselves and not sitting in corners." To him, the game "pulled people together."

The inventor held 97 patents. Twister is currently made by Hasbro.

Ali Landry Gives Birth to Third Child

Time to break out the blue onesies!

Ali Landry just gave birth to a baby boy. This is her third child with husband Alejandro Monteverde.

The bundle of joy, Valentine Francesco, was born on Thursday, July 11 in Los Angeles, California. A source told Us Weekly that the baby weighed 8 pounds.

The mother of three informed her fans about being in labor in a tweet saying, "The time has come. Baby is on his way. On our way to the hospital."

The 39 year-old TV personality is very happy about the new addition to the family. "We are so happy to welcome Valentine into our lives and our family."

Landry married Monteverde, 35, in April 2006. Valentine joins older siblings Estela, 6, and Marcelo, 21 months.

Kevin Jonas and Wife Danielle Are Expecting First Child

Another happy couple is expecting!

Keving Jonas and wife, Danielle, are expecting their first child. The 25 year-old singer revealed the happy news to E! News Giuliana Rancic.

"I was overjoyed. It's been the most exciting thing in my life so far." 

He even made a couple of tweets, one confirming the pregnancy and the other about his wife being an amazing mom. 

"It's true @daniellejonas is pregnant! can't even imagine how excited we are I can't wait to share this with my best friend. I love you baby."

The youngest member of the Jonas Brothers, Nick, congratulated the couple via Twitter. "Can't wait to welcome the newest addition of the Jonas family. Congratulations to my bro @kevinjonas & @daniellejonas." 

Kevin and Danielle met in 2007 while on vacation in the Bahamas. They hitched in December 2009 at Oheka Castle in Long Island, New York.

Anna Benson Arrested After Alleged Gun Threat

Former FHM model, Anna Benson, was arrested in Georgia on Monday, July 8 for an alleged gun threat against ex-husband and former New York Mets pitcher Kris Benson.

The former baseball player, 38, filed for divorce last year. Anna was recently forced by the court to vacate their marital home. She didn't take that too well.

Kris says that the "Baseball Wives" star, 37, showed up and whipped out an "expandable metal baton," threatening to hit him. He also says that she was wearing a bullet proof vest at the time and demanded money after pulling out a handgun.

The former pitcher told the Atlanta police that she left after he said he would give her money. However, as soon as she left, he left his home and called the police.

Anna was arrested and booked on 4 counts: 2 counts of felony aggravated assault with a weapon, 1 count of criminal trespass, and 1 count of possession of a firearm during the commissions of a crime.

Anna was once claimed to be baseball's hottest housewife by FHM.

You're never too old to tie the knot.

Matthew Knowles, Beyonce's father, recently got married to former model, Gena Charmaine Avery. Knowles and Avery, 48, were engaged for a year and a half. 

Knowles, 61, was unable to share his special moment with his daughters. Beyonce, 31, and Solange, 27, were unable to attend the wedding due to prior engagements. 

"Unfortunately, Beyonce and Solange had previous engagements which made it impossible for them to attend."

Knowles was married to ex-wife Tina Knowles for 31 years. They divorced in 2011.

Rihanna Angry Over Feature In Chris Brown's New Album

Hell hath no fury like a woman scorn... Or angry that she's featured on her ex flame's new album.

Rihanna has been blasting Chris Brown on social networks after he announced that she was one of the collaborators on his new album X. Brown tweeted on the 4th that his new album featured Nicki Minaj, Kelly Rowland, Kendrick, Wiz Khalifa, Rihanna, B.O.B. and that there were "more surprises to come."

The "Pour It Up" singer wasn't too happy about that, considering the song was made while they were still together. Her response?

She posted a photo (above) on Instagram with the caption "Phuck O.utta H.ere B.**ch." OHB is known as Brown's crew.

According to Hollywood Life, a source says that the "Fine China" singer sees no point in retaliating. If anything, its disappointing him to see her bash him on social networks.

"That's his ex girl, he's not about to go in on her like that in public... He's just going to go about his day like it didn't happen."

Even though he is being bashed by the Barbados singer, Brown still wishes her well.

The Huffington Post  reported back the couple's split back in March. The 24 year-old singer is currently dating Karrueche Tran, 25.

The X album will be released on Tuesday, July 16.

Did sparks fly between Justin Beiber and Selena Gomez on the 4th of July?

Big Brother's GinaMarie Zimmerman Gets Fired From Day Job For Racial Slurs

Someone forgot the camera was rolling and is in big trouble for it.

Big Brother's GinaMarie Zimmerman has been fired from her day job for using racial slurs while on the show. Zimmerman was seen on live feed saying the N-word, while having a conversation about insurance with fellow contestants.

The Staten Island, NY native was a pageant coordinator for the East Coast USA Pageant, Inc. She worked for the company for five years and they were shocked that she could "display such acts of hate and racism."

Lauren Handler, the CEO of East Coast USA, issued a statement about the incident to the Hollywood Reporter. "We celebrate the diversity of our participants as all ethnicities are beautiful... In a business where we are surrounded by beauty every day we are saddened to see something so ugly come from someone we put on a very high pedestal."

Handler stated her gratitude for the uncensored live feed. "We are actually thankful that this show let us see Ginamarie for who she truly is as we would never want her to be a role model to our future contestants."

The 32 year-old contestant has not been contacted yet, but will be given the news when she returns home. "We are unable to contact her at this time but when she returns from the Big Brother house we will be terminating her employment for her unforgivable behavior.

Zimmerman was the second contestant to get fired from her job. Aaryn Gries was fired from Zephyr Talent after making offensive and racial comments to other contestants on the show.

Kerry Washington Gets Marriend to Nnamdi Asomugha

Kerry Washington knows how to keep things private in her screen role as Olivia Pope and her personal life. The 36 year-old actress got married to San Francisco 49ers cornerback, Nnamdi Asomugha.

The couple started dating last summer and tied the knot in a secret ceremony on Monday, June 24 in Hailey, Idaho. It was confirmed that the newly weds filed for a marriage license in Blaine County, Idaho.

"It has been recorded in the Blaine County clerk's office that Nnamdi Asomugha and Kerry Washington have been married on the 24th of June in the town of Hailey, Idaho."

This is the first marriage for the Scandal actress who was almost close to walking down the aisle with ex-fiance, David Moscow. The two split in 2007. Washington told The New York Post that she learned more about herself since leaving that relationship.

The Django Unchained actress is currently on vacation, while on break from the ABC series. The actress did give a friendly reminder to her UK fans to watch season 2 of the show.

She tweeted on Tuesday: "Ok. Logging off! See u in a few weeks! SO excited 4 all u UK #Gladiators about 2 experience Season 2! Spread the word!"

Kanye West and Kim Kardashian Turn Down $3 Million Deal For Photos of Baby North

Money can't buy love and apparently not photos of baby North West either.

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West aren't ready for the world to see their first born. An Australian magazine offered the couple $3 million for the rights to publish the first photos of the baby.

To their dismay, they were turned down. They were also offered $2 million by another magazine.

An insider told Us Weekly that West doesn't want the baby on the show. "He was serious when he said North isn't America's baby."

A source told TMZ that if they do, the proceeds would go to charity.

Chris Kelly Cause of Death Revealed

Chris Kelly's cause of death has been released after two months of not knowing. The Kris Kross rapper died from a drug overdose.

Kelly was found unresponsive on Wednesday, May 1 in his Atlanta home and later pronounced dead at a nearby hospital. The cause of death hadn't been determined at the time, so family and friends had to wait for the results of a toxicology report. 

After two months of waiting, the screening revealed that the 34 year-old rapper had a lethal mixture of drugs in his system. The type of drugs were not revealed, but according to TMZ, Kelly's mother told police that he had been doing cocaine and heroin the night before. 

Kelly had a history of drug abuse. The family has yet to release a statement with a response to the report.  

Kelly became famous in 1992 when he and his partner, Chris Smith, made the hit "Jump."
