Jennifer Lopez Gets Temporary Restraining Order Against Alleged Stalker

One of the disadvantages of being famous are obsessive fans.

Actress and songstress Jennifer Lopez currently has a temporary restraining order against Timothy McLanahan, the man she alleges has been stalking her.

The Shades of Blue star filed legal documents on Tuesday, January 3 at the LA Superior Court. He has been ordered to stay 100 feet away from her, her kids Emme and Max and their school. He also has to stay away from her vehicle, family home and place of work.

According to Mary Hern, the court's director of public information, the suspect was arrested for driving his vehicle onto the singer's property, follows her at his own admission and sends he wanted mail and flowers.

TMZ reported that Lopez's bodyguard claims in the court documents McLanahan has a record that includes threats and firearms violations.

McLanahan has been told not to contact Lopez by LAPD. A hearing for the restraining order is set for Tuesday, January 24.
