Lady Gaga and Taylor Kinney are currently "taking a break" according to a post she made on Instagram.
"Taylor and I have always believed we are soulmates. Just like all couples we have ups and downs, and we have been taking a break. We are both ambitious artists, hoping to work through long-distance and complicated schedules to continue the simple love we have always shared. Please root us on. We're just like everybody else and we really love each other."
Breakup rumors sparked when Gaga, 30, was seen vacationing in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico not wearing her heart-shaped engagement ring. She was on vacation with family and friends.
Kinney, 35, plays Lieutenant Kelly Severide on Chicago Fire, which keeps him in Chicago, IL while Gaga's singing career has her traveling all over. According to People, a source said," She's working on an album, he's working on his show, they aren't in the same state, it was just hard. They both love each other very much and they want it to work. It's just been tough with the long distance."
The couple met in 2011 when Kinney played the love interest for Gaga's music video "You and I." They got together shortly after and were together for four years before the actor proposed on Valentines Day in 2015 at the Poker Face singer's family's Manhattan restaurant Joanne's Trattoria.
