Jason Biggs Apologizes for Insensitive Joke About Malaysia Airlines

Jason Biggs received a virtual backlash through social media on Thursday, July 17 after he made a joke about the Malaysia Airlines shortly after the 777 jetliner had crashed.

The Orange is the New Black actor tweeted, "Anyone wanna buy my Malaysian Airlines frequent flier miles?"

People were outraged and took to Twitter to voice their anger.

"Go f--k a pie you piece of s--t. You're such an attention seeking f--king whore."

"Too soon to joke man."

"You'd laugh if your kids died in a plane crash?"

Biggs, 36, defended himself in various tweets, one of them saying, "Hey all you 'too soon' a--holes, it's a f--cking joke. You don't have to think it's funny or even be on my twitter page at all."

However, later on that evening, he had a "change of heart" and decided to apologize for the tweet.
