Columbus Short 'Confirms Exit' from Scandal
What about Harrison?
Actor Columbus Short gave a statement on Friday, April 25 that he would not be returning to Scandal for the fourth season. In the statement, he referred to the show as his home for three years and said it is 'the most talented ensemble on television today.'
He also thanked the cast and creator. "I would like to first thank Shonda Rhimes for the opportunity to work with such an amazing cast. Thank you GLADIATORS, who have supported me throughout my entire career and of course to ABC and Shondaland for allowing me to play such a pivotal role in the Scandal series. "
Short then added, "I have enjoyed every single minute of it. Everything must come to an end and unfortunately the time has come for Harrison Wright to exit the canvas. I wish nothing but the best for Shonda, Kerry and the rest of the cast, who have become like a second family to me in such a short amount of time. For this, I will forever be grateful."

Joan Rivers Not Sorry for Joke About Women Held Hostage in Ohio
No remorse.
Joan Rivers made a horrible joke during an appearance on the Today show Tuesday, April 22. She compared her daughter's Malibu guestroom to the house in Cleveland, OH where the three women who had been kidnapped were held at.
"Those women in the basement in Cleveland had more space," the 80 year-old comedienne said.
Attorneys for Amanda Berry and Gina DeJesus said in a statement that the women are owed an apology. "Our clients are strong, private women who have endured unwanted and often painful media attention for quite some time. They now have to endure this, which is a new low, and we believe a sincere apology is warranted."
Rivers, however, doesn't feel that she owes them an apology because it was a little stupid joke. She told TMZ that they shouldn't complain since "they got to live rent free for over a decade."
"One of them has a book deal. Neither are in a psych ward. They're OK. I bet you within three years one of them will be on 'Dancing with the Stars."

Lindsay Lohan Reveals She Had a Miscarriage While Filming OWN Show
Lindsay Lohan revealed a shocking secret last night on the season finale of her OWN reality show Lindsay on Sunday, April 20. Lohan says she went through a miscarriage while filming the show.
"No one knows this, and we can finish after this -- I had a miscarriage for those two weeks that I took off," Lohan said as she began to tear up.
"It's a very long story but that's why on the show when it says, 'she doesn't want to come down, she doesn't want to come down.' I couldn't move. I was sick. And mentally that messes with you."
The two weeks she's referring to happened back in September. The 27 year-old actress had been making excuses on why she wasn't showing up to film and the OWN mogul herself made a personal visit to Lohan's house.
Since then, she'd been very cooperative. While watching the show, The Parent Trap actress would get emotional.
"I cried so many times watching it. I don't see it as me, it's strange. Of course I'm a bit of a narcissist. Who isn't in this industry? At the same time, it's still like, when a camera is on, I'm on. If I know I'm not capable of being on, that's why I would say I couldn't film today."
According to the Washington Post, there's been no word so far from Oprah on whether or not the show will even air. Due to poor ratings of the season premiere, Oprah may also cancel the second season of the documentary series.

Stephen Colbert Will Replace David Letterman on Late Show
Colbert will be reporting for a new show.
CBS made an announcement yesterday on April 10 that Stephen Colbert will be the new host for the Late Show. He will be replacing David Letterman, who hosted the show for 21 years.
"Stephen Colbert is one of the most inventive and respected forces on television," said the CEO of the network, Leslie Moonves. "David Letterman's legacy and accomplishments are in incredible source of pride for all of us here, and today's announcement speaks to our commitment of upholding what he established for CBS in late night."
The 49 year-old funny man is currently the host of the Colbert Report. Since the series started in 2005, Colbert has won numerous Emmy's. He's also had an ice cream flavor, a species of spider and a piece of exercise equipment on the International Space Station (the "Combined Operational Load Bearing External Resistance Treadmill," or COLBERT) named after him.
Although CBS is happy with their choice, there is someone who disagrees: Rush Limbaugh. A caller asked him what was his opinion on the choice of the new host and the conservative radio host spoke his mind.
"What this hire means is a redefinition of what is funny and a redefinition of what is comedy, and they're blowing up the 11:30 format under the guise that the world's changing and people don't want the kind of comedy that Carson gave us, or even Letterman. They don't want that anymore. It's media planting a flag here... It's a declaration. There's no unity in this hire."
But what's good news without being followed by negativity?
Even though CBS announced Letterman's replacement, there's no exact date as to when Colbert will host the show. It will be after Letterman's final show in 2015.

Chris Brown Faces Assault Trial in Washington, D.C.

Things might have taken a turn for the worse.
Chris Brown has been transferred to Washington, D.C. from Los Angeles, CA last week on Thursday, April 3, 2014. The 24 year-old singer has been behind bars with no bail since March 14.
He is currently in jail for violating his probation from his assault charge in 2009 involving Rihanna, his girlfriend at the time. Brown was staying in a rehab facility for several weeks in Malibu, CA as part of his probation. After Brown was kicked out of the facility, it was considered a violation of his probation and he was arrested.
The "Don't Think They Know" singer is in D.C. facing an assault trial. In October 2013, Brown allegedly punched a man in the face outside of a Washington hotel. The original charge was for a felony assault, but was reduced down to a misdemeanor.
However, according to TMZ, prosecutors took the case to the grand jury because they believe they have evidence to support a felony prosecution.
Brown's lawyer, Mark Geragos, filed a dismissal motion last week for the singer's release. He gave a statement to the news claiming grand jury abuse.
"To me this is outrageous. They stripped (Brown) of his right to a jury trial by filing this as a misdemeanor and then go abuse the grand jury to freeze witness testimony."
