Kerry Washington's Husband, Nnamdi Asomugha, Retiring from Football

All things must come to an end.

Nnamdi Asomugha, NFL cornerback, announced on Friday, December 27 that he was retiring from football. He confirmed it in a press conference at the Oakland Raider headquarters.

"After 11 seasons in the NFL, I will be retiring today. I've been blessed and fortunate to have a successful NFL career. Another journey is starting for me right now."

That journey could be the child he's expecting with wife Kerry Washington. The two got married secretly late June in Hailey, Idaho.

Asomugha, 32, was let go from the San Francisco 49ers on November 5 and has been out of work since. He signed a one year contract with the team in April after he was waived by the Philadelphia Eagles in 2012. The contract was worth $1.35 million that included another $1.65 million in incentives.

The 11-year veteran said that he was retiring because he "felt it was the right time." When a reporter asked how his wife was taking the news, he said, "I've had a lot of support from my family. Everybody's just been great about it."

Supernatural Star Jared Padalecki and Wife Welcome Second Baby Boy

Another baby is born!

Jared Padalecki and wife Genevieve Cortese welcomed their second son on Sunday, December 22. He announced the good news via Twitter after making a jab at Cowboys Quarterback Tony Romo.

"Hey y'all- gen and I did, indeed, experience a holiday miracle yesterday: Tony Romo didn't senselessly throw the game away!!"

He then added, "Ok. For real ;) My amazingly strong wife home-birthed a happy and healthy baby boy last night :). Please send love :))"

He hasn't shared the name of the newborn yet. However, he did tease it on Twitter Christmas day.

"We just wanted to wish everybody out there a safe and happy holiday season, from the four Padaleckis. Sincerely: Me, @realGpad, Thomas, and," he tweeted before adding, "Those damn 140 characters ALWAYS get the best of me! Embarrassingly, it cut off our new sons name! Sheesh. Crazy! Kanye West Sued Over Sample in Bound 2

All samples aren't free.

Kanye West is being sued by a former child star for allegedly sampling on his Bound 2. Ricky Spicer, the former singer of The Ponderosa Twins Plus One, filed a lawsuit against the rapper on Monday.

The Ponderosa Twins Plus One made a song called Bound in 1970. Spicer was 12 years-old when the track was made. When he recently heard West's Bound 2, he says he immediately recognized his old work.

According to TMZ, Spicer never gave Kanye permission to use his voice. He is suing the rapper's labels for allegedly steally his vocals. He's also demanding that West stop using the songand pay him an unspecified amount of money.

West isn't new to using samples in his songs. He used samples in Gold Digger, Stronger, Diamonds from Sierra Leone.

Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade Are Engaged

There have been a lot of rings this year and I'm not talking about bells.

Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade are now engaged. The Heat forward popped the question on Saturday, December 21 with a 8.5-carat ring by Jason of Beverly Hills.

The couple have been dating for four years. Although they took a break earlier this year, things definitely seem back on track.

Wade, 31, popped the question in Miami, FL and told Twitter and Instagram about it soon after. "She said YES!!! @itsgabrielleu."

 The 41 year-old actress also tweeted saying, "Maaaaaannn… I'm float in! Thank you SO much for all the love, well wishes & support!"

Wade was married to his high school girlfriend Siohvaughn from 2002 to 2007. Their divorce became final in 2010. They have two sons together, Zaire Blessing Dwayne Wade and Zion Malachi Airamis Wade.

Union married football player Chris Howard in 2001, however, they were separated in 2005 and divorced in 2006.

Shia LaBeouf Could Face Legal Action Due to Plagiarism

When you don't give proper credit to the original author, it's called plagiarism.

Shia LaBeouf posted his short film Howard Cantour.com this week on Monday, December 16, which is about the life of an anguished online film critic. However, this was also the story line for Daniel Clowes comic Justin M. Damiano in 2007.

The only difference between the short film and the comic is that the names were changed. LaBeouf took the short film offline after he was accused of plagiarism and immediately took to Twitter to apologize.

"Copying isn't particularly creative work. Being inspired by someone else's idea to produce something new and different IS creative work. In my excitement and naivete as an amateur filmmaker, I got lost in the creative process and neglected to follow proper accreditation, " he admitted.

"I'm embarrassed that I failed to credit @danielclowes for his original graphic novella Justin M. Damiano, which served as my inspiration. I was truly moved by his piece of work & I knew that it would make a poignant & relevant short. I apologize to all who assumed I wrote it. I deeply regret the manner in which these events have unfolded and want @danielclowes to know that I have a great respect for his work. I f---ed up."

Even though the short film was posted online on Monday, it had already circuited at festivals in 2012, one being the Cannes Film Festival. When the Transformers actor apologized on Twitter, he was called out on plagiarizing again. Apparently, he plagiarized the beginning of his apology from a Yahoo Answers user named Lili.

The 27 year-old actor has given multiple apologies, but Clowes has not accepted them and may be seeking legal action. Clowes' Fantographics publisher, Eric Reynolds, told Us Weekly that Clowes was exploring his legal options after finding out the short film was released online on Monday.

"…he has given interviews where he has had every opportunity to pay his respects to the source material, but instead he continues to position himself as the sole creator. So, no, a half a--ed insincere and plagiarized apology on Twitter is probably not enough and Dan is currently exploring his legal options."

Family and Friends Hold Private Funeral for Paul Walker

Goodbyes are never good when they're permanent.

Family and friends gathered to have a small funeral for their beloved Paul Walker on Saturday, December 14. The funeral was held at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Los Angeles.

The late star's remains were cremated and according to Us Weekly, there was a large picture of Walker. The service lasted 40 minutes, the age Walker was when he died.

Attendees included his father, Paul, Sr., his mother, Cheryl, his brothers, Cody and Caleb and other close friends.

Paul died on Saturday, November 30 along with his friend, Roger Rodas, who was behind the wheel of his 2005 Porsche Carrera GT. Rodas lost control of the Porsche and it crashed into a tree.

A future gathering is said to be held for more people that were close to Walker.

Actor Paul Walker Dies In Car Accident

Fast & Furious will never be the same.

Actor Paul Walker died in a car accident this past weekend in Southern California. He died on Saturday afternoon when the driver of the two-seat Porsche Carrera GT lost control of the car and slammed into a tree.

Walker was in Santa Clarita where he hosted the Reach Out Worldwide charity event to help support the Phillipines relief effort.

The driver was identified as Roger Rodas, a friend of Walker, who also died in the car crash. According to TMZ, police say that speed played a factor in the fatal accident, however, the exact cause has not been determined.

Walker leaves beyond a 15 year-old daughter named Meadow. He was 40 years-old.

Celebs are pretty shaken about the news, one being his co-star of 2 Fast 2 Furious, Tyrese Gibson. The actor paid respects to his friend at the cite of the crash on Monday, December 2 while a crowd gathered around him.

He also tweeted and posted pictures on Instagram on Saturday after the news broke: "My heart is hurting so bad… no one can make me believe this is real. Father God I pray that you send clarity over this cause I just don't understand. My heart hurt's it's broken no one can convince me that this is real... Prayer warriors please pray real hard for his only child, his daughter and family..."

Ciara got engaged this past weekend to her boyfriend, Future. She tweeted about her excitement on Sunday, October 27.

The "Goodies" singer was celebrating her 28th birthday in New York City when the rapper popped the question. He proposed with an Avianne & Co.15-carat diamond ring.

In an interview with Angie Martinez of Hot 97 back in August, the "Turn On The Lights" rapper said that she is the one.

"I said it seven years ago. So for it to come around and for it to happen, it was just meant to be."

This will be the first marriage for both of them.

Chris Brown and Bodyguard Arrested For Alleged Assault in D.C.

Not again.

Chris Brown and his bodyguard were arrested for an alleged assault charge early Sunday morning in D.C. The alleged victim was hospitalized and wants to press charges.

The 24 year-old singer was in the nation's capitol to host a homecoming party at Park 14 Saturday night. Brown tweeted: "I'm hosting the Biggest Homecoming Party in DC TONIGHT."

According to Metro Police, the alleged altercation happened a few blocks down from Park 14, outside of W Hotel. Brown was taking a photo with two female fans when a guy and his friend decided to jump in the picture.

The victim, Isaac Parker, says that Brown was angry about the photobomb and said, "I'm not down with that gay s**t, I'm into boxing." He then punched him in the face, the blow breaking his nose.

Brown's bodyguard, Chris Hollosy, 35, stepped between the two and punched Parker in the face. He grabbed the singer by the arm and led him to his tour bus, which was parked nearby.

Parker, 20, was taken to the hospital and treated for a fractured nasal bone. He told TMZ that he hired a lawyer and wants to press charges.

Sources close to the "Fine China" singer say Parker is lying about the reason behind the fight. According to the source, the guy was trying to force his way onto Brown's tour bus and that Brown was just trying to prevent him from trespassing.

Brown and Hollosy were taken into custody for a felony assault, but the charge was reduced to a misdemeanor in a court hearing on Monday.

Brown was put on a five year probation in 2009 after he abused ex-girlfriend Rihanna. He is due back in court on November 20 for a probation hearing. If revoked, the singer could be put behind bars.

Katharine McPhee and Michael Morris were photographed sharing an intimate liplock. There's only one problem: they're both married to other people.

The former Smash director is married to actress Mary McCormack and they have three daughters together. The 29 year-old actress married her producer husband, Nick Cokas in 2008.

McPhee and Morris worked together on the NBC show Smash. The musical drama was canceled back in January after two seasons.

According to NY Daily News, the pair was seen holding hands and cuddling in Hollywood.

Neither parties have yet to comment on the picture.

Kelly Clarkson decided to break away... and get married!

The "A Moment Like This" singer got married over the weekend to long-time boyfriend, Brandon Blackstock She announced the good news on Monday, October 21 via Twitter.

"I'm officially Mrs. Blackstock :) We got married yesterday at Blackberry Farms in TN, the most beautiful place ever!"

She also posted two pics from the wedding (above and below).

The 31 year-old singer was introduced to her groom by his father, Narvel Blackstock who has been her manager for years. He is also married to Reba McEntire. Blackstock proposed to Clarkson after a year of dating. It is a yellow canary diamond surrounded with white diamonds, a ring he designed with jeweler Jonathon Arndt.

Rumors started that the couple's big day was coming up soon when they applied for a marriage license last week on Tuesday, October 15. The license was only good for 30 days. Clarkson did confirm that she would be wearing a dress designed by Temperley London.

The "Stronger" singer told E! that they were planning a big wedding, but decided to go for a small one while she was on break from touring. "We're not doing the big huge one. We're just gonna go off with the kids and go get married and it's just gonna be literally, seriously small."

They had a small ceremony with family and friends including Blackstock's two kids from his previous marriage.

Blake Lively Lands Leading Role in The Age of Adaline

It's been almost a year since Gossip Girl ended and now Blake Lively is back in action.

The 26 year-old actress took a hiatus after the series finale to be with her beau Ryan Reynolds. Lively is now returning to the acting scene after landing the leading role in the movie The Age of Adaline.

According to Deadline, her character is a 29 year-old woman who has stopped aging after recovering from a near-fatal accident. She goes on a journey throughout the 20th century until she meets a man who "forever alters her life."

Katherine Heigl was originally casted as the "ageless beauty," but was dropped and replaced by Lively for an unknown reason.

The last movie Lively played in was Savages in 2012 and the year before that, she played the love interest of Reynold's character in the Green Lantern.

Rose McGowan Ties the Knot with Davey Detail

No love spell needed.

Rose McGowan married Davey Detail on Saturday, October 12. The wedding was an outdoor ceremony at the Paramour Mansion in Silverlake, Los Angeles, CA.

A source told E! that there were 60 people (close friends and family) that were attendance and also said the ceremony was "enchanting and magical."

McGowan, 40, wore a Monique Lhullier gown with Neil Lane earrings and bracelet, while Detail wore a black suit.

The couple announced their engagement in July after dating for over a year. The newlyweds are having their honeymoon in Tahiti.

The former Charmed actress was engaged twice before to Machete Kills director Robert Rodriguez in 2007 and to rocker Marilyn Manson in 2001.

Although Kills and Rodriguez both put a ring on it, Detail was the one to say "I do."

Lea Michele Covers Bob Dylan's "Make You Feel Love" For Cory Monteith Tribute

This is one goodbye that will end in tears.

Lea Michele covers Bob Dylan's "Make You Feel Love" on the Glee tribute for her late co-star and boyfriend Cory Monteith. The cover was released online on Sunday, October 6.

This is just one of the heartfelt songs that is featured on the tribute. Naya Rivera sings "If I Die Young," Chord Overstreet and Kevin McHale sing "Fire & Rain," and former series regulars Amber Riley and Mark Sailing return to perform "I'll Stand By You" and "No Surrender."

Fox aired a sneak preview of the episode to come for fans to see last week on Friday, October 4. Glee creator, Ryan Murphy, says that the emotion behind the performances is real.

"Almost everything in that episode is from the first take of every performance, because the actors and the crew had a really hard time shooting it," Murphy said. "I've never seen a crew where you can't continue shooing because they left the room sobbing."

The actors are still having a hard time letting go of Monteith who died of a lethal mix of heroin and alcohol in July this past summer.

"It was very hard, and I struggled even working on it, because you're seeing what they felt about not just Finn [Hudson, Monteith's character], but Cory. So I think it's amazing performances across the board, and everybody went into it with a lot of love."

The tribute will air on Thursday, October 10.

Miley Cyrus Spoofs the Goverment Shutdown

Apparently, we DID stop. Well the government did anyway.

Miley Cyrus made an appearance on Saturday Night Live on October 5. She did a spoof of her song "We Can't Stop" about the government shutdown called "We Did Stop (The Government)." In the parody, she plays a very sexy Michelle Bachmann while SNL's Taran Killam plays John Boehner.

The spoof showed a picture of Ronald Reagan a couple of times saying, "It's our party we can do what we want." Jay Pharaoh, dressed as President Obama, was outside looking through a window as the two "politicians" were inside partying. They even substituted the bears from the "We Can't Stop" video with GOP elephants.

 "Republican party. Repping GOP. Doing whatever we want. This is our house. This is our rules. And we did stop (the government). Yeah, we did stop (shut it down)."

Although the government shutdown is a very contraversial matter, the 20 year-old singer approached it in a playful way that most wouldn't have dared.

Miley Cyrus Rumored to be Pregnant with Juicy J's Baby

Did Miley Cyrus go from being a fiance to someones baby momma?

The 20 year-old singer is said to be with child after Cream BMP Daily reported that she and rapper Juicy J announced they were having a baby during the BET Hip Hop Awards.

While on stage, the 38 year-old rapper said that Cyrus was doing "a lot more than twerking." The Wrecking Ball singer then added, "No, I'm really pregnant."

 The report also said that Billy Ray Cyrus came on the stage and said that his daughter "really broke his achy breaky heart." The Cyrus, 52, then added that there are three things he didn't expect to be in his life: rap music, twerking and a black baby.

The crowd is said to have responded to the "announcement" by laughing and standing up to applause.

The former Disney Star took to Twitter this morning to respond: "Waking up to the news that I'm now pregnant with @therealjuicyj baby."

Her mother, Tish, jokingly responded to the tweet saying, "hahahahaha YEP! read that last night!! This is my favorite one yet!"

According to E!, a source says that while the rumor is "funny," it is not true.

Michael Jordan Accused of Fathering Another Child

Here we go again.

Another woman is claiming that Michael Jordan fathered her child. However, the former Chicago Bulls player, 50, says that the child isn't his.

Laquetta Theus filed a paternity suit in Georgia and is seeking child support for her daughter. Theus gave birth to 2 year-old Juyana Rachelle Henderson in August 2010 and is claiming that Jordan is the father.

She wrote a status on Facebook saying, "Michael Jordan, when are you going to support your 2-year-old daughter? You drop 10 million on your nice wedding... that was nice but don't you think it time that you support your daughter?"

Theus claim sounds a lot like Pamela Smith's claim that the former NBA player fathered her 16 year-old son Taj. Jordan admitted to having an affair with Smith years ago, but denied that he was the father. Smith's lawsuit was dismissed earlier this year.

Jordan filed legal documents against Theus saying that the paternity of the child had already been established and that he wasn't the father.

Looks like Maury Povich won't be needed in this case.

Jordan dated Yvette Prieto for several years before marrying her earlier this year on April 27. According to Hollywood Gossip, Prieto isn't concerned about any of the claims.

Robert Pattinson is Dating Model, Dylan Penn

Time to "penn" the girlfriend on Robert Pattinson.

After breaking up with longtime girlfriend Kristen Stewart and hooking up with Elvis Presley's granddaughter, Riley Keough, it seems that the Brit actor has finally settled down with model, Dylan Penn.

Penn is the daughter of famous actor Sean Penn and ex-wife Robin. Apparently, Penn, 22, and Pattinson, 27, have been dating for the past two months.

They were seen together this past week on Wednesday, September 25, at the Chateau Marmont in West Hollywood. An observer says that they two were "canoodling" while hanging with a group of friends.

"He was affectionate with her and they seemed comfortable."

According to Daily Mail, the two were both holding onto cocktails in plastic cups as they sat on a sofa in a lounge setting.

The Twighlight actor ended his relationship with co-star and longtime girlfriend Kristen Stewart, 23, in May. In August, a friend of Stewart says she's having a hard time letting go of him.

"She's still heartbroken. She can't seem to get over him."

Khloe Kardashian Drops "Odom" on Twitter/Instagram Before Fourth Wedding Anniversary

What happened to the Odom?

Khloe Kardashian has changed her display name on Twitter from Khloe Kardashian Odom to just Khloe. She did the same earlier this week on her Instagram bio. The change adds fuel to the rumors that their marriage has gone downhill.

The 29 year-old reality star made the change on Twitter the day before their fourth wedding anniversary which was on Friday, September 27. Kardashian's rep gave a statement to ABC News.

"She took off Kardashian and Odom on her bio only. Her Instagram handle has ALWAYS been just Kardashian to match her Twitter name-- so both of her names are @KhloeKardashian. They always have been, but yes, in her bio she removed both of her last names. So it simply says Khloe."

The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star has yet to make a comment on the problems with her husband. However, a source told People Magazine that she still wants to save her marriage.

"She still wants to save their marriage; she wants him to get better, but there is a lot to work out," the source told the magazine. They then added, "She's taking everything one day at a time and concentrating on herself. Everything with Lamar is very unclear."

Oprah Threatens to Take Lindsay Lohan's $2 Million Check

Oprah Winfrey is not the person you want to mess with.

When Lindsay Lohan started to become a no-show and gave poor excuses on why she wasn't showing up, Winfrey wasn't having it. The 59 year-old mogul went to Dina Lohan's house in Long Island to confront
her.

Winfrey simply asked her, "Do you want to do it? Because if you don't want to do it, that's OK. We could just end it. We don't have to do it."

 She gave her an ultimatum: To clean up her act or lose $2 million check. Lohan, 27, chose to clean up her act and according to TMZ, sources say that she has been cooperating for almost a month now. However, the owner of OWN is still watching her.

A $2 million check isn't something you wouldn't want to mess up.

Lohan's OWN series will be premiere next year.

Lilo's Half Sister Got Plastic Surgery to Look Morke Like Her

Lindsay Lohan's estranged half-sister, Ashley Horn, actually looks a lot like her. And it only took $25,000 worth of plastic surgery to do it. InTouch Weekly got the exclusive.

Horn, 18, is the product of an affair that Michael Lohan had with her mother, Kristi Horn Kauffman, back in the 90s. The affair happened while he was still married to now ex-wife Dina. He found out about his "love child" last  year on the Trisha Goddard Show last November where a paternity test confirmed that he was the father.

The picture below is what Horn looked like as a teenager.

"My goal was to look like Lindsay in her good days, when she was around 18, 19 years old." Now she believes that she even looks better than Lilo. "(Now) I'm hotter than Lindsay! I have no problem saying that."

She may now share a resemblance with her famous sister, but Horn told InTouch Weekly that she's nothing like her sister. "I'm not Lindsay... I don't drink, do drugs or party. I like being a responsible person."

A responsible person that spent $25,000 to look like a person that she's nothing like. If you don't want to be like her, then why get plastic surgery done to look more like her?

Kanye West Claims Self-Defense Against Assault Lawsuit

A picture can say a thousand words, but the only word Kanye West sees is self-defense. The 36 year-old rapper is facing charges of criminal battery and attempted grand theft from his altercation with a photographer back in July.

To do a recap, on July 19, the new dad was walking out of LAX terminal while being followed by paparazzi, including videographer Daniel Ramos. In the video, you can hear Ramos persistently ask West questions, but West tried to ignore him. Then West tells him, "You're trying to get me in trouble so that I can steal off you and have to pay you like $250,000."

After that, West lunged at Ramos, trying to take his camera away from him.

 Yeezy's attorney filed papers last week on Friday, saying that he was acting in self-defense. The filing states that it was Ramos who "willfuly and wrongfully caused [West] to reasonably believe his safety was in danger." He believed "his safety was in immediate danger" and that's why he reacted the way he did.

Ramos' attorney, Gloria Allred told E! that his defenses are ludicrous. "We are looking forward to going to court and seeing Mr. West trying to prove his response in a court of law."

Ramos filed the lawsuit last month which alleges that West turned, spoke to Ramos and then, "without warning or provocation," he "suddenly attacked, punching [the plaintiff] and attempting to wrestle the camera from" Ramos' hands.

But exactly how innocent is Ramos? Did he sew Britney Spears when she bashed his SUV with her umbrella back in 2007?

If Kanye is found guilty, he could be put behind bars for a maximum of a year. The court date has been set for Thursday, October 10.

The Baggage Claim actress replied, "First of all, his outfit was fly and secondly, he was wearing pants so there was nothing to wash off. It wasn't a naked show."

Patton says that "she wasn't surprised" about the performance since they had rehearsed three days beforehand. "I don't know how to not dance with someone having their booty in your... all my friends do it like that. And I don't really know what the big deal is."

The actress was surprised at how shocked the viewers were and how everyone reacted to it. She made a joke saying, "I didn't know if they thought Miley was going to sit down and play piano like Alicia Keys. Her song's about taking molly!"

The following morning, Patton appeared on the TODAY Show. To prove a point, she twerked on weather anchor Al Roker. "Your wife's not going to get mad at you is she?"

Paula Patton plays the leading role in the upcoming movie Baggage Claim. It will release on Friday, September 27.

Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth Split After Three Years Together

 

Unlike the song "We Can't Stop," Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth actually can stop. After three years of making up and breaking up, the couple called off their engagement.

One of Cyrus' rep confirmed the split with Us Weekly. "Liam and Miley are completely done and broken up. She wants nothing to do with him and vice versa. It's bad."

According to E!, sources say that Cyrus made the decision to end the engagement after "coming to grips" with Liam and what she believed to be his "less than faithful" behavior.

The 20 year-old singer unfollowed Hemsworth, 23 on Twitter over the weekend, hinting to today's news of their split. 

The former couple met in 2009 on the set of The Last Song and the Paranoia actor popped the question with a 3.5-carat diamond ring in May 2012.

Colts Release Rookie John Boyett After Arrest

Indianapolis Colts rookie safety John Boyett was arrested on Monday, September 2 early in the morning. He was angry after he was denied entry into a downtown night club for being too drunk.

According to the police report, Boyett refused to leave and started cursing at people on the sidewalk. It took four officers to arrest the 203 pound football player. He was released from jail Monday evening after appearing in front of a judge and posting a $150 bond.

Prior to the arrest, he told police officers "you can't arrest me, I'm a Colts player." The 23 year-old football player also threatened a cop, saying that he would break his jaw.

That defense didn't hold for long. Boyett was on the reserve/non-football injury list due to knee problems. However, following his arrest on Monday, the Colts made the decision to waive him off of the list.

The former Oregon star issued an apology to Colts owner Jim Irsay via Twitter:

"I want to apologize to Mr. Irsay @JimIrsay, the Indianapolis Colts organization @Colts and the Indianapolis police. The Colts gave me an opportunity and I blew it. My behavior didn't and doesn't represent who I am. I am deeply embarrassed and disappointed in myself. All I can do now is learn from it and never repeat it. I look forward to showing my true character in the future."

Boyett was the sixth-round pick out of Oregon.

Harry Connick Jr. and Jennifer Lopez Join Keith Urban on "Idol" Panel

The judges have been chosen for the 13th season of American Idol. Keith Urban has been joined by Jennifer Lopez and Harry Connick Jr.

Fox's Chairman of Entertainment Kevin Reilly confirmed it today in a statement: "Jennifer Lopez, the triple-threat global superstar who loves Idol and whom Idol fans love; Harry Connick, Jr., a bona-fide musical genius and fantastic Idol mentor whose honesty and expertise can help turn these hopefuls into stars; Keith Urban, a multi-Grammy-winning artist who was such a positive force on the show last season."

Lopez, 44, was on the panel for seasons ten and eleven. It may be good for the ratings that she has returned. According to USA Today, ratings plunged 20% when Lopez and former judge Aerosmith's Steven Tyler left after season eleven.

Idol has had more success with a three judge panel. The most success panel was Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul and Randy Jackson.

Connick says he's honored to be a judge on the show. "I am honored that they've asked me to be a judge this season. As an entertainer, I am truly excited to bring my perspective to American Idol, and to help emerging performers find their way."

Ryan Seacrest will remain the host on the show and Randy Jackson, former judge on Idol, will be back on the show as a mentor.

Miley Cyrus, Lil Twist and Justin Beiber New Song "Twerk" Leaks

Miley Cyrus can't get enough of twerking.

A song titled "Twerk" was leaked online Wednesday August 28. The song starts off with Cyrus singing, "I came up in this party, time to twerk."

The other artists on the song are Justin Beiber and rapper Lil Twist. The 20 year-old rapper announced the collaboration in July when he tweeted the cover of the single. The picture has Cyrus in a unicorn onesie from her "twerking" video that was released in March.

The track was produced by Meajor Ali and hasn't been officially released yet. Even though it was leaked, there's no word on whether or not this is the final version of the song.

It was announced yesterday by Quartz that the word "twerk" has been added to the Oxford Dictionaries Online. The word is defined as a dance to popular music in a sexually provocative manner involving thrusting hip movements and a low, squatting stance."

After the 20 year-old singer's performance risque performance of "We Can't Stop" and "Blurred Lines" with Robin Thicke at the VMA's  this past Sunday, this song just adds on to the controversy.

This isn't the only collaboration the former Hanna Montana star will be doing. According to the New York Post, the singer missed her own post-VMA party to do a record with rapper Kanye West. The two will be doing a remix of the 36 year-old rapper's song "Black Skinhead."

Demi Lovato to Play Naya Rivera's Lover on Glee

Demi Lovato is going back to acting!

The former Disney star will be playing the love interest of Naya Rivera's character Santana Lopez on Glee this upcoming season. Rivera confirmed it on the red carpet this past Sunday at the VMAs.  "I mean, she's playing my love interest, so I'm very, very excited about that," the actress told MTV.

Lovato seems to be excited about the new role as well. The 21 year-old singer tweeted about it on Monday, August 26. "I can't believe I'm going back to acting but the best part about it is that I get to act/sing with some of my really good friends."

According to E!,  Lovato's reps say that the actress will be playing Dani, a NYC-based struggling artist friend of Rachel (Lea Michele) and Santana.

Rivera, 26, also told MTV that her and Lovato will be singing a song together and that they would be bringing her to "the dark side."

That's not all that's in store for this season. The cast is filming a tribute to former costar, Cory Monteith who died from a lethal combination of heroin and alcohol on July 13. The tribute episode will air on October 10.

'N Sync Reunites Briefly at the VMAs

'N Sync briefly reunited at the VMAs last night, but after doing snippets of two songs, the former band mates went bye bye bye.

Justin Timberlake performed for 15 minutes at the VMAs. He sang some of his newest and recent songs such as "Mirror" and "Suit & Tie." He even sang a lot of his old ones from "Cry Me A River" to "Sexy Back" to "Rock Your Body."

When his former band mates, JC Chasez, Lance Bass, Joey Fatone and Chris Kirkpatrick joined him on stage, the crowd went wild. They started off with Girlfriend and ended in "Bye Bye Bye".

According to Us Weekly, a source says that the former heart throbs were upset that they only performed  two of their songs. "They were originally told that it was going to be more of their old hits, not just Bye Bye Bye-- but then Justin reworked it."

Even though fans would have loved to see more, they were happy to see them altogether once again. The boy band hadn't performed at the VMAs since their of "Pop" in 2001 performance with Michael Jackson.  

There wasn't a big fuss over the matter. Timberlake acknowledged them when he accepted his Michael Jackson Vanguard Award. "Half of the Moonmen I ever won, I won with 'N Sync. I'm going to share this with them."

Kate Levering Welcomes First Child

Let's welcome Kate Levering to motherhood!

Levering's rep confirmed that she gave birth earlier this month. This is her first child with husband Reza Jahangiri.

The Drop Dead Diva star got married to Jahangiri in April and confirmed they were expecting their first child.

The 34 year-old actress has been tweeting updates. On Monday, August 14, the new mom tweeted: "The amount of times I've been barfed on today is now getting comical."

The sex of the child and the name has yet to be released.

Rizzoli & Isles Star Lee Thompson Young Commits Suicide at 29

Another star is gone. Actor Lee Thompson Young committed suicide on Monday, August 19.

Young played Boston detective Barry Frost on the show Rizzoli & Isles. When he didn't show up for work, the staffers on the set contacted his landlord to check his apartment. He was found dead with a self inflicted gunshot wound.

Young's publicist told TMZ, "It is with great sadness that I announce that Lee Thompson Young tragically took his own life this morning... Lee was more than just a brilliant young actor, he was a wonderful and gentle soul who will be truly missed."

The executive producer of the show said that they were "devastated by the news" of his passing and they send their "deepest condolences and thoughts to his family, to his friends and, most especially, to his beloved mother."

The 29 year-old actor became famous when he starred in the series The Famous Jett Jackson 1998-2001. He went on to play running back Chris Comer in Friday Night Lights in 2004.

Production has been shut down for Rizzoli & Isles following his death and there is no news to when filming will begin again.

The reason why he took his life is unknown.

Chris Brown Gets 1,000 More Hours of Community Service

Chris Brown just received bad news in court: 1,000 more hours of community service.

The judge revoked the 24 year-old singer's probation last month after allegations of a hit and run, but  reinstated it on Friday, August 16. However, Brown had to agree to an additional 1,000 hours.

He was originally given 180 days of community service and was allowed to do it in his home state of Virginia, but after the L.A. County D.A. accused him of submitting false records, he now has to be supervised by L.A. County officials.

According to TMZ, the singer won't get any credit for service he may or may not have completed since his conviction due to discrepancies with his original labor hours.

The Fine China singer has a choice of cleaning beaches, highways, graffiti or probation alternative work services (PAWS).

That 70s Show Star Dies At 43

Lisa Robin Kelly, better known as Eric Forman's older sister Laurie, has passed away. She died in her sleep on Wednesday, August 14 in a rehab facility in California.

Her manager, Craig Wycoff, said she recently checked herself into the facility voluntarily to battle her addiction problems.

"Unfortunately Lisa Robin Kelly passed away last evening. Lisa had voluntarily checked herself into a treatment facility early this week where she was battling the addiction problems that have plagued her these past few years. I spoke to her on Monday and she was hopeful and confident, looking forward to putting this part of her life behind her. Last night she lost the battle."

The 43 year-old actress had an apparent alcohol problem. In November 2010, Kelly was sentenced to 12 months of unsupervised probation in North Carolina after pleading guilty to drunk driving in August 2010. She was also arrested last June on suspicion of DUI.

According to TMZ, sources say that she recently fell off the wagon after an altercation with her estranged husband Robert Gilliam. Kelly and Gilliam got married in October 2012. The union must not have been a good one because they were both arrested a month later after police responded to a disturbance report.

Sources say Gilliam beat her last May to possess the rest of her show money. He served 35 days in jail for the beating, was convicted for domestic battery last month and sentenced to three years in prison.

The That 70's Show actress filed for divorce in July.

Kelly checked herself into rehab on Monday. Late Wednesday night, she went into cardiac arrest and could not be saved.

The actress was mostly famous for her roles on That 70's Show and Amityville Dollhouse.

Lea Michele Breaks Down While Honoring Cory Monteith at Teen Choice Awards

Lea Michele attended the Teen Choice Awards on Sunday, August 11 in Universal City, California. The Glee star dedicated her award to her late boyfriend, Cory Monteith.

Michele, 26, was awarded for Choice TV Actress: Comedy. As she paid tribute to Monteith, she started to break down. 

"I just wanted to be here today to personally thank all of you and tell everyone out there how much all of your love and support has meant to me over these very past difficult few weeks."

The actress also wore a necklace that spelled out "Cory" to the ceremony. 

"I wanted to dedicate this award to Cory. For all of you out there who loved and admired Cory as much as I did. I promise that with your love we're gonna get through this together. He was very special to me and also to the world. We were very lucky to witness his incredible talent, his handsome smile and his beautiful, beautiful heart."

"So whether you knew him personally or just as Finn Hudson, Cory reached out and he became a part of all of our hearts and that's where he will stay forevery. So thank you guys so much. Thank you."

This was the first public appearance for Michele since the death of Montieth who died on July 13 from a lethal combination of heroin and alcohol.

Oprah Winfrey Doesn't Hold Back in Lindsay Lohan Exclusive

Oprah Winfrey's sit down with Lindsay Lohan is going to be very interesting.

 In the promo for Oprah's Next Chapter, Winfrey is asking Lohan serious questions and she is not holding back. One of the questions that she asks is, "What do you know about yourself now that you wish you'd known six rehabs ago?"

Winfrey, 59, also asked the Freaky Friday star, "What does it feel like to be both an adjective and a verb for a child actor gone wrong?"

The OWN media mogul appeared on the TODAY show on Monday, August 5 to talk about the interview. She said that she believes that Lohan is "ready to move forward in her life. "

"I'm anxious to see whether or not this young woman, who is a really, really fine actress, will be able to allow us into her life and let us see the trajectory of trying to put the pieces back together."

The interview premieres on Sunday, August 18 at 9pm.

Usher's Son Is Okay After Pool Accident

Usher Raymond's five year-old son, Usher V, is recovering after pool accident on Monday, August 5. 

According to Extra, the 34 year-old singer confirmed early on Thursday, August 8, that his son "is doing well and is recovering." Raymond was very appreciative of the people that helped save his oldest son's life. 

TMZ reported that Usher V was playing in the pool with his aunt when he saw a toy in the drain. He dove in to get it out, but his arm got stuck in the drain. His aunt and the maid went to rescue him, but both were unsuccessful. When the maid screamed for help, two audio-visual contractors working in the house came to their aid and freed Usher V. One of them immediately gave the boy CPR and rushed him to the hospital. 

Tameka Foster, Raymond's ex-wife, posted a photo (above) on Instagram of her holding her son in the hospital. Foster is furious and blames The Voice judge for what happened.

"Now that it's sunk in, she is livid. Usher has custody and won't let Tameka have the kids, even when he's out of town. She feels like the kids are being raised by his family or by nannies, when they should be with their mother," a source close to Foster tells People.

Raymond has primary custody of both sons Usher V and Nayvid, 4, but he may not have it for long if Foster gets her way. Following the accident, she has filed a request for an emergency custody hearing.

MLB Suspends Alex Rodriguez Through 2014 After Drug Case

Being positive isn't always a good thing. It has had a negative effect on Alex Rodriguez.

Rodriguez, third baseman for the New York Yankees, has been suspended for 211 games due to violations of the Joint Drug Prevention and Treatment Program and the Basic Agreement. Commissioner Bud Sellig announced the suspension on Monday, August 5.

Sellig explained that the suspension was based on Rodriguez's "use and possession of numerous forms of prohibited performance-enhancing substances, including testosterone and human growth hormone, over the course of multiple years."

The 38 year-old baseball player has been suspended without pay for the remainder of the regular season and postseason of 2013 and the entire season of 2014. According to ESPN, Rodriguez plans on appealing his suspension.

"Rodriguez's discipline under the Basic Agreement is for attempting to cover-up his violations of the program by engaging in a course of conduct intended to obstruct and frustrate the Office of the Commissioner's office."

The Major League Baseball also suspended 12 other players for 50 games for their involvement with the South Florida clinic Biogenesis.

The suspension goes into effect on Thursday, August 8.

Simon Cowell Expecting First Child With Friend's Wife

Lauren Silverman won't need Maury Povich for this one because Simon Cowell is the father. The New York socialite is almost three months pregnant with the famous judge's baby.

Silverman, 36, is still married to real-estate mogul Andrew Silverman.  However, they are getting a divorce. Silverman, 37, filed for divorce on July 15. A source told Us Weekly that the couple haven't been happy for quite some time.

"Lauren and Andrew have been unhappy in their marriage for some time, and their divorce has been in the works for a while."

Cowell, 53, has been friends with the couple for a while. As things got worse with Andrew, Silverman started getting close to Cowell.

Allegedly, the two were just friends with benefits. Cowell thought that Silverman was on birth control and was completely shocked when he found out she was pregnant earlier last month.

Cowell did tell Sunday People that he wouldn't adopt because he'd rather have his own. His wish has been granted.
