Columbus Short 'Confirms Exit' from Scandal

What about Harrison?

Actor Columbus Short gave a statement on Friday, April 25 that he would not be returning to Scandal for the fourth season. In the statement, he referred to the show as his home for three years and said it is 'the most talented ensemble on television today.'

He also thanked the cast and creator. "I would like to first thank Shonda Rhimes for the opportunity to work with such an amazing cast. Thank you GLADIATORS, who have supported me throughout my entire career and of course to ABC and Shondaland for allowing me to play such a pivotal role in the Scandal series. "

Short then added, "I have enjoyed every single minute of it. Everything must come to an end and unfortunately the time has come for Harrison Wright to exit the canvas. I wish nothing but the best for Shonda, Kerry and the rest of the cast, who have become like a second family to me in such a short amount of time. For this, I will forever be grateful."

His leave from the show follows a series of allegations against him for violent acts. Recently, Short's wife, Tanee Short, filed a restraining order against him after he allegedly threatened to kill her after a fight in their home on April 7.

According to TMZ, Tanee claimed the 31 year-old actor pinned her down, choked her, and threatened to stab her unless she admitted to having affairs. She filed for divorce and wants sole custody for their 2 year-old daughter.

Last month, he was being investigated by police for allegedly getting into a fight with a guy at a bar.
