Columbus Short Is Being Investigated for Involvement in Bar Fight

If only Olivia Pope was real.

Scandal star Columbus Short is currently being investigated for his involvement in a bar fight. The fight occurred on Saturday, March 15 at Gabe's Bar and Grill in Los Angeles, CA. Short was there with his wife attending an engagement party.

Sources say the fight happened because another attendee at the party made a comment about 31 year-old actor's wife. According to New York Daily News, the guy allegedly said, "You might be richer than me, but I get my girls to buy me everything I want including your wife."

It went downhill for the guy after that. The Stomp the Yard actor sucker punched the guy and kept hitting him until he was rendered unconscious. The 37 year-old victim (below) was taken to the hospital in a neck brace with a broken nose.

This isn't the first altercation that Short has been involved in. In March 2010, he was accused of breaking a guy's jaw during a pick-up game at L.A. Fitness. That resulted in a restraining order against the actor.

The police are investigating the fight as criminal battery.
